About Magnolia Vacation Rentals
We manage more than 100 cabins, condos, and pool homes across the Great Smoky Mountains. Our guests come for a five-star mountain getaway, and our owners trust us to protect their properties. The inspector is the person who makes sure every home is truly guest-ready — the final quality check before check-in.
What you'll do
- Perform on-site quality inspections of vacation rental homes between guest stays, using our inspection app on a phone or tablet.
- Work through a detailed room-by-room checklist: cleanliness, HVAC and air filters, thermostats, water heaters, plumbing, electrical, appliances, safety and security, propane levels, door-lock batteries, and pool/spa areas.
- Check every system in every home — including ALL HVAC units, water heaters, and levels in larger multi-bedroom cabins — not just the first one you come to.
- Photograph and document each item, and flag anything that needs cleaning follow-up or a maintenance work order.
- Coordinate with our cleaning and maintenance teams so issues are fixed before guests arrive.
- Manage your own daily route across multiple properties in the Smokies area.
What we're looking for
- Meticulous attention to detail — you finish the whole checklist and check every unit, every time.
- Dependability — you show up on time, every scheduled day, and communicate quickly when something changes.
- Hands-on/mechanical comfort — you can locate and assess HVAC filters, water heaters, breakers, propane tanks, and pool equipment.
- Physically able to drive between properties all day and move through multi-level homes (stairs, closets, mechanical areas).
- Valid Tennessee driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet app for checklists and photos.
- Weekend and holiday availability — our busiest check-in days.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in vacation rentals, hotels, housekeeping QA, home inspection, maintenance, or the trades.
- Familiarity with the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge / Sevierville area.
- Experience with property management or inspection software.
Schedule and pay
- Full-time, year-round, including weekends and peak holiday periods.
- $20–$21 per hour, depending on experience.
