Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Truck Driver CLASS B to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or less, including various types of specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Your primary focus will be on delivering freight efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class B commercial trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes, local deliveries, and specialized transportation assignments such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, or freight requiring manual handling.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual techniques, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning.
- Transport a variety of freight types including dangerous goods, flatbed loads, tanker shipments, or roll-off containers with precision and care.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, proper load securement, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules, provide updates on delivery status, and address any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on truck loading/unloading, route driving, and delivery driving.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazard communication procedures for dangerous goods, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Experience handling logistics cargo including freight that requires manual handling or forklift operation is preferred.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Class B with clean driving record; additional endorsements such as Hazmat or Tanker are a plus but not required initially.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while managing truck loading/unloading tasks in various environments.

Pay: $720.00 - $800.00 per week
