The Woodlands Girls Lacrosse Program is seeking a motivated and dependable High School Assistant Coach to join our coaching staff.
As one of the top girls lacrosse programs in Texas, we are continuing to elevate our standards and are looking for a coach who is excited to contribute to a competitive, team-first environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with high school athletes, understands the value of strong culture, and wants to be part of a growing, high-level program.
While lacrosse experience is helpful, it is not required. We welcome candidates with a background in any sport who have strong leadership, communication, and coaching instincts.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach with planning and running practices, drills, and team training sessions
- Help teach individual skills, team concepts, and game strategy
- Support game-day preparation, in-game coaching, and sideline management
- Contribute to building a positive, competitive, and accountable team culture
- Provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve and develop
- Promote teamwork, discipline, effort, and sportsmanship
- Communicate effectively with players and coaching staff
- Attend practices, games, tournaments, and team meetings
Qualifications
- Background in any sport (playing and/or coaching experience preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Positive, growth-minded, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to connect with and mentor high school-aged athletes
- Reliable availability for weekday practices and occasional weekends/evenings
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
