Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and construction tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision craftsmanship and a proactive approach.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction tasks.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and siding work with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, equipment safely
- Assist with concrete forming, framing, carpentry, and to support various phases of construction projects.
- Conduct restoration activities including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration.
- Install fixtures such as cabinetry, doors, windows, and other building components while adhering to safety standards.
- Support heavy lifting tasks and assist with rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, and flooring or tile installation as needed.
- Read construction plans accurately to determine materials required and ensure proper execution of project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by managing materials and tools efficiently while following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a strong background in carpentry or related trades.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines including framing, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and restoration techniques.
- Experience in the restoration industry or water damage remediation is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights when necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise craftsmanship.
- Valid experience in working on construction sites while following safety guidelines; OSHA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while maintaining a proactive attitude toward project goals. Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
