The Courtyard Sacramento Midtown Bistro is looking for an energetic, service‑driven Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team. If you enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, working in a fast‑paced environment, and being part of a supportive hotel team, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining and service experiences while maintaining Marriott brand standards.
Guest Experience
- Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to hotel guests
- Greet, engage, and socialize with guests to make them feel welcome
- Anticipate guest needs and use empowerment to resolve concerns quickly
- Remain visible, approachable, and ready to assist guests throughout the hotel
Food & Beverage Operations
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food items, beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and cocktails
- Operate kitchen and beverage equipment including coffee machines, beer dispensers, and cooking equipment
- Set up, replenish, and maintain all food and beverage stations
- Stock bar and supplies; receive and organize deliveries
- Operate the TOAST POS system, handle cash, and balance transactions as needed
Quality, Safety & Standards
- Maintain strict adherence to Marriott Brand Standards and Health Department regulations
- Perform quality assurance (QA) checks for the department
- Keep kitchen, service areas, equipment, and utensils spotless and well‑organized
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times
Teamwork & Support
- Assist fellow team members to ensure daily operations run smoothly
- Train and support new associates
- Complete shift checklists and maintenance work orders
- Support meeting room setups, evening coffee breaks, and special events as needed
- Carry out additional duties to meet business needs

Availability & Requirements
- Open availability—including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Prompt and reliable attendance
- Food handler certification (or ability to obtain per local requirements)
- Willingness to complete beverage education and ongoing training
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform standards
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting throughout shifts
- Frequent use of hands for food prep, service, and operating equipment
- Ability to work in a moderate‑noise kitchen and restaurant environment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
