Additional Work: Monday through Saturday as project needs require

This assignment provides full-time, on-site safety oversight for construction of a water storage tank supporting a Microsoft data center project in El Paso, Texas. The Field Safety Manager will support active heavy concrete and vertical construction operations and ensure safe work practices are consistently followed throughout all phases of the build, from foundation through dome construction.
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Safety oversight of water storage tank construction from floor to dome
Rebar installation and concrete floor casting operations
Oversight of shoring systems and wall form erection
Hanging diaphragm and vertical wall pours
Dome formation and dome casting activities
Enforcement of confined space, fall protection, and work-at-height requirements
Field-based hazard identification and proactive risk mitigation
Incident investigation, documentation, and reporting
Daily interaction with craft personnel, foremen, and site leadership
Support of site-specific safety programs and regulatory compliance
Maintain a consistent on-site field presence during active construction operations
Monitor concrete and vertical construction activities for OSHA and site safety compliance
Identify, communicate, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors
Conduct job hazard analyses, safety orientations, and toolbox talks
Review confined space classifications and entry procedures
Complete daily safety documentation, inspection reports, and incident reports
Participate in site safety meetings and coordination efforts
Support incident prevention initiatives and continuous safety improvement
BCSP credential required, STSC, CHST, ASP, CSP, or GSP, or a Bachelor's degree in a safety-related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience on projects of similar scope and size, large data center or heavy concrete projects preferred
OSHA 30 completed within the last 3 years
Strong background in concrete construction, confined space, and fall protection safety
Data center construction experience is a strong plus
Candidates must clearly understand the difference between permit-required and non-permit confined spaces. Concrete and vertical tank construction often involves changing conditions that can alter confined space classifications. Strong hazard recognition and strict adherence to OSHA confined space requirements are essential for success in this role.
This role is well-suited for a hands-on Field Safety Manager with heavy concrete and vertical construction experience who is comfortable working in active, high-risk environments. Candidates should be detail-oriented, confident enforcing safety requirements, and experienced with work-at-height and confined space oversight.
