Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of duties for our furnished apartment complex while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities will include general labor work, gathering equipment/supplies, lifting and moving of furniture, ensuring that all facilities are in a safe condition, and handling all maintenance requests in a timely, efficient matter. In addition, this position will also include daily duties such as painting, improvement projects, routine seasonal maintenance and other duties assigned by management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Fulfilling daily building maintenance requests in a timely fashion
- Delivering friendly customer service while completing tasks
- Basic plumbing repairs such as addressing clogged toilets & drains, leaking faucets, etc.
- Painting residential apartments and individual rooms
- General grounds-keeping including minor custodial work, picking up trash, pulling weeds and maintaining curb appeal and common areas
- The ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions
- Review all apartments prior to move-in and and hold them to a standard set by management
- Routine safety inspections
- Drywall repair and other simple carpentry duties
- 9 am - 5 pm weekday hours with rotating night and weekend on-call responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills
- Positive Attitude, Hard Worker, Friendly
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Works well independently and on a team
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Driver's License
