Job Description
A dispensing optician is responsible for adjusting, repairing and dispensing glasses. Other duties include helping customers select frames, cleaning lenses, organizing the lab, contacting patients, helping manufacture glasses and more. A successful dispensing optician may become a selling optician. Experienced opticians may start as a selling optician. Starting pay from the high teens, depending on experience.
This is a full-time position. The hours below are one option. One Saturday a month is required. M-F hours have some flexibility.
- 8:30-6:00 M-Th
- 8:00-1:00 F
- 9:00-1:00 Sa - once a month
