Respiratory Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Respiratory Director to join our team at Solon Pointe at Emerald Ridge in Solon, Ohio. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Respiratory Unit and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the satisfactory work of Vent unit staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Interview, hire, and schedule RTs, monitoring attendance and coordinating schedules
- Ensure all Vent unit staff is oriented and has completed competencies
- Coordinate in-services and audits of charts, new admissions, and Respiratory charting
- Order supplies and maintain inventory for Respiratory Services
- Disclose disciplinary actions according to company policies
- Attend care conferences, daily morning meetings, and Clinical Meetings
- Monitor vent unit labs, assessments, and policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary contact between Nursing and RTs, Pulmonologists, and family members
- Review referrals and ensure timely admissions and equipment set-up
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy
- Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License required
- 1+ years of experience in the respiratory field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities
