Jason Schmidt Landscaping is a custom landscape design and installation company specializing in high-end outdoor living spaces throughout The Villages and surrounding communities. We take pride in our craftsmanship, professionalism, and strong systems that ensure every project runs smoothly from concept to completion. Our work includes water features, paver patios, retaining walls, fire features, seating walls, stonework, landscape lighting and detailed plant installations. (This is not a maintenance position)
Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced hardscape and landscape installer to join our crew. The ideal candidate has a strong background in landscape and hardscape installation, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and leads by example. This role requires both hands-on skill and the ability to guide a team efficiently and professionally.
We’re seeking someone who understands and can execute the technical and creative aspects of custom landscape and hardscape construction, from reading plans to ensuring each project is completed to the highest standard.
Qualifications (Required)
- Previous experience and knowledge of hands-on experience in landscape and hardscape installation (experience in maintenance work such as mowing or trimming does not apply )
- Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, plants, trees, irrigation, water features, and stonework
- Familiar with site prep, grade, pitch, and installation of pavers
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record (must be insurable under company policy)
- Dependable, punctual, and drug-free
- Physically able to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality installations of hardscapes and landscapes per design plans
- Safely operate trucks, trailers, and construction equipment
- Maintain tools, materials, and job sites in an organized and professional manner
- Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites daily
