Description:
- Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time position in a fast-paced outpatient urgent care setting.
- This role is based in Fairfield County, CT & New Haven, CT, offering a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts.
- The position requires proficiency in handling a variety of acute illnesses and injuries, with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration with a clinical team.
Requirements:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform comprehensive assessments including medical histories and physical exams.
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications.
- Conduct office-based procedures like wound repair and splinting.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab studies and X-rays.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with clinical team for efficient patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current NP (ANCC or AANP) or PA (NCCPA) certification.
- Active NP or PA license in good standing.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in urgent care or similar setting.
- Experience with urgent care procedures like suturing and splinting.
- Strong clinical judgment and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
