JOB Under general supervision, tutors Ak-Chin Indian Community students in 9-12 grades in Mathematics, and English Language Arts in the After-School Tutoring Program. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Experience equivalent to two year fulltime tutoring, teaching, counseling or closely related work with high school students; OR a Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field. Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and be able to meet the Community's insurance carrier requirements. Must successfully complete a background check. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- Knowledge of basic educational subjects, including mathematics, reading composition, English and science.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, and employees in the Community.
- Skill in assisting students with understanding/learning basic educational subjects, including reading, English, mathematics and science.
- Skill in assisting students in learning effective study habits and appropriate attitudes toward education.
- Skill in assisting students in basic computer operations.
