Duties
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and other tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate findings clearly.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility across various databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Talend.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate requirements into technical solutions through business analysis and project management techniques.
- Support database design efforts and optimize data architecture for efficiency using knowledge of database systems like Oracle and SQL Server.
- Contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by participating in planning, development, testing, and deployment of analytics solutions within Agile frameworks.
- Develop scripts using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or Python to automate repetitive tasks and improve data workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like Visio for process mapping and project tracking.
- Stay current with emerging data analysis trends such as linked data concepts and advanced analytics techniques to enhance our analytical capabilities.
Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases effectively across multiple platforms including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Strong experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker for creating compelling dashboards.
- Expertise in programming languages like R and Python for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend or similar platforms to streamline data integration processes.
- Familiarity with database design principles to optimize storage solutions for large-scale data environments.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices to coordinate tasks efficiently within teams.
