In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and equipment repair, ensuring that all vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as fuel injectors, pumps, and electrical components.
- Align and maintain various vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Solder electrical connections as needed to ensure proper functionality of systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in diesel mechanics are a plus.
