American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Burn Trauma ICU (BTICU) position requiring at least 1 year of Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience, with night shift availability and a 50-mile radius requirement.

Located in the Burn Trauma ICU (BTICU) on the 3rd floor of the C Tower at a hospital in Plano, TX
-
30-bed unit with a staff of approximately 85
-
Patient ratio is 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for PCU
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
2 weekends required per pay period
-
Floating may be required to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit

EMR: Meditech
-
Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
-
Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)

NIH Stroke Scale certification required for this unit

Minimum 1 year of recent Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience required

Strong communication and critical thinking skills required
-
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

BSN preferred

CCRN preferred

Typical procedures include wound care, code responses, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
-
Ideal candidate is team-oriented, comfortable asking questions, and willing to assist colleagues

Scrub color required: Royal Blue

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

One professional reference is required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
