Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a spa setting and be dedicated to providing exceptional therapeutic massage services, focusing on client well-being and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic massage and body treatments in a professional and attentive manner.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to identify areas of concern, assess medical history, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Customize massage sessions to address individual client needs and preferences, utilizing a variety of massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal).
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment notes and progress.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend Aveda home care products and strategies.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of Aveda products and massage services.
- Participate in regularly scheduled salon/spa meetings and cross-training opportunities.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and comfortable treatment environment.
- Adhere to all local and state licensing laws and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide a seamless client experience.
Requirements:
- A graduate of an accredited massage program.
- Current and valid Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license in Tennessee.
- Proven experience as a massage therapist, with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and provide a calming and therapeutic experience.
- Strong commitment to client care and satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide the full menu of massage services based on operation hours of the salon.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized certifications (e.g., Cupping, Reflexology, Aromatherapy)
- Background in Ayurveda/Yoga Healing practices
- Previous spa experience
- Self-motivation
- Flexibility to work some weekends, evenings, and holidays
Pay: $42,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
