Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and food handling. This role is essential in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence, particularly in a fine dining environment. We are looking for the following shift: Omelette station and line cook, for Monday, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday. 6AM till 11AM
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- Assist in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices is a plus, especially for special dietary needs.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and presentation.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and expectations.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
