Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in our facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the pets under your supervision. This position requires a love for animals and a commitment to their care.
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, exercising, and medication.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Heavy cleaning, stand/sweep/mop for long periods of time.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to manager.
- Help with dog handling during socialization activities and temperament tests.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to moving animals or cleaning supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment.
Skills
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and pet grooming practices.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and pet owners.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to handle strong smells.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
