Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of fresh deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures throughout the deli area to ensure food safety compliance
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process customer transactions accurately
- Engage with customers warmly, answer questions about products, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Monitor stock levels, restock displays, and rotate products to ensure freshness and availability
- Follow food safety management protocols diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination
- Assist in cleaning food preparation areas regularly and adhere to all sanitation procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems will be advantageous but can be trained on-site
- Strong customer service skills are essential for creating a positive atmosphere for shoppers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
