Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 26-week assignment based in Rock Island. In this vital role, you will deliver expert anesthesia care across diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, obstetrics, and general surgical cases. Your expertise in perioperative care, airway management, and emergency response will ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their surgical journey. Duties
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia tailored to individual patient needs during surgical procedures
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments pre- and post-anesthesia to determine appropriate care plans
- Manage airway devices and respond swiftly to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress
- Monitor vital signs continuously using advanced medical equipment and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems like Epic
- Ensure strict compliance with nursing procedures, HIPAA regulations, and hospital policies to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement pain management strategies and perioperative protocols
- Document all medical procedures accurately in medical records, including medication administration and patient responses
Experience
- Proven critical care experience in ICU or emergency settings with a strong foundation in physiology and anatomy knowledge
- Demonstrated expertise in anesthesiology practices including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, and pain management
- Hands-on experience with airway management techniques, airway equipment operation, and airway resuscitation protocols
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention standards and hospital safety measures to minimize risks of infection or complications
- Ability to respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure within hospital settings
- Knowledge of state Nursing Practice Acts and nursing policy compliance to ensure legal and professional standards are met
- Prior experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms in hospital or ICU environments is highly desirable
