We are seeking a motivated and dependable Semi Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! Duties
- Safely operate semi-trucks with manual transmission, including tractor-trailers, hopper-bottom and other specialized vehicles.
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before operating the vehicle.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, delivery documentation, and compliance records in line with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various truck types.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards,and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently when loading or unloading cargo.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
