Salary range is:
$157,417.86 - $265,000.00

Reporting to the CCC’s Associate General Counsel responsible for commercial contracting, the Assistant General Counsel will demonstrate good judgment and a strong business sense in advising stakeholders on legal
and business risks and mitigations. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and collaborative lawyer who will partner with their business counterparts to draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of complex commercial agreements in support of CCC’s growth as a global SaaS provider, including primarily SaaS (software-as-aservice) customer-facing agreements on behalf of CCC’s EvolutionIQ business unit.

Review, draft and constructively negotiate commercial agreements with customers, partners, vendors, and other third parties.

Analyze legal risks, offer mitigations, and facilitate pragmatic solutions to obstacles.

Communicate on and draft to complex legal issues in plain English to assist business leaders’ understanding and decision making.

Provide timely and practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders, with diligence and attention to detail.

Contribute to the analysis and approach on a range of legal matters by supporting other members of the legal department on an as-needed basis.

Willingness to keep current on relevant industry standards, laws, and regulations, notably in the areas of SaaS, data and AI.

Collaborate with legal team members to improve processes and ensure business needs are met.

At least eight to twelve (8-12) years of substantive commercial and technology contracting experience (in-house or law firm).

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Experience advising clients on commercial terms for products, services, and/or licenses, including those involving SaaS, AI, and data, is preferred.

Strong editing, writing, and negotiating skills.

Proven ability to negotiate and drive contracts to closure while protecting core legal and business interests.

Experience advising business leaders and negotiating with sophisticated counterparties in fast-moving technology environments.

Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and ability to adapt to ambiguity in a growing organization.

Strong interpersonal skills and collegial attitude, collaborative team player who enjoys working with others.
