Summary/Objectives:
The human resource assistant position is responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring/on-boarding, reviewing time cards/schedules, benefits, leaves, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Functions:

Conducts recruitment efforts, pre-screen interviews, schedules in-person interviews with department managers

Makes conditional job offers to potential candidates.

Schedules new hires for pre-employment physicals, drug screens and hearing/vision test and obtain results.

Conducts background checks and acquires employee eligibility verification records.

Clears new hire to begin and forward necessary paperwork to the HR Generalist for system processing

Conducts employee orientations and trainings. Monitors training program and ensure compliance.

Prepares necessary training materials and coordinates employee trainings.

Reviews time cards and oversee employee schedules. Ensure prepared for payroll submission. Submits time cards to Temporary Contract Agencies.

Assist with preparing timely employee performance evaluations and submit for approval. Once approved schedule evaluations with the appropriate managers.

Assist employees in benefits enrollments. Support the annual Open Enrollment Meetings.

Performs a daily ‘Employees Out’ review and notifies the appropriate management team

Handles employee attendance counseling, records, and points.

maintain and process personnel records and reports.

Coordinate/organize company lunches and support in company wide events.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.

Provides clerical and operational support to the Human Resource Manager.

Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner

Communicate with other departments as necessary

Keep work areas clean and organized
