Housing Inspector (HQS) – New Orleans
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Housing Inspector to join our growing team in New Orleans. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in thorough evaluations, and is committed to ensuring safe and habitable housing for residents.
As a Housing Inspector, you will conduct in-unit and property inspections using the HQS protocol (training provided), assessing overall housing conditions and compliance with New Orleans housing standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections of residential units and properties
- Evaluate homes for safety, habitability, and compliance with applicable housing codes
- Document findings accurately using company-provided tools and software
- Identify deficiencies, potential hazards, and maintenance concerns
- Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, and team members
- Maintain a consistent schedule and meet inspection deadlines
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using technology for reporting and documentation
- Prior inspection, construction, or housing-related experience is a plus, but not required
Pay: $900.00 - $1,200.00 per week
