High School Diploma or GED

Must be currently enrolled in or planning to attend a Medical Assistant training program.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required

At least one (1) year of work experience in any field

Must be at least 18 years old to work in the clinic.

1-2 years as a certified Medical Assistant preferred

Customer service, healthcare, or administrative experience is a plus but not required
- Current Basis Life Support certification from American Heart Association required

If not currently certified as a Medical Assistant willing to obtain in the future

Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and basic management software

Ability to communicate effectively

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Basic computer skills; Word and Excel are required

We are seeking a motivated and reliable entry-level Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced primary care clinic. This role supports providers in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. No certification is required; however, candidates must be willing to learn and grow within the role.

Room patients and prepare for examination

Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperate, etc.)

Record patient medical histories and update electronic health records (EHR)

Assist providers during examinations and procedures
-
Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collections
-
Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients
-
Manage patient workflow to ensure efficiency in a fast-paced environment
-
Schedule appointments and assist with front office duties as needed

Work collaboratively with team to manage all staff and provide inboxes to ensure timely responses to patients

Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Performance Expectations

Medical Assistants are expected to support providers in seeing a minimum of 15 patients per provider per day

Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working in a high-volume setting

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication skills

Must participate in staff and educational meetings

Act as a liaison between clinic and local/consulting providers offices to foster cooperative relationships and problem solve issues regarding the clinic.
Physical Requirement and Work Environment
Exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly, frequently standing, walking, bending and sitting. Exposure bodily fluids.
