Duties
- Assist with food handling, preparation, and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Support food safety management by adhering to hygiene standards and proper storage practices
- Perform heavy lifting when moving supplies, ingredients, or equipment safely and efficiently
- Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to ensure a tidy environment for guests
- Follow food safety protocols during all stages of food service and catering events
- Support kitchen staff with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and dishwashing techniques
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food handling safety standards
- Experience in banquet service or catering environments is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of kitchen operations within hotel or culinary settings is advantageous
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests in a fast-paced environment
