Job Title: Direct Care Staff – Adult Day Training (ADT)

Pay: $14.00–$15.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Staff to join our Adult Day Training (ADT) program. In this role, you will provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them develop life skills, increase independence, participate in community activities, and achieve their personal goals in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility.
- Implement individualized service plans and training goals.
- Teach and reinforce daily living, social, communication, and vocational skills.
- Facilitate recreational, educational, and community-based activities.
- Transport participants to and from community outings when required.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress notes, attendance records, and incident reports.
- Administer medications only if properly trained and authorized.
- Observe, document, and report changes in participants' health or behavior.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Follow all agency policies, APD regulations, HIPAA requirements, and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Adult Day Training (ADT), Residential Habilitation, Personal Supports, or related human services.
- Knowledge of APD Waiver services.
- Experience documenting service notes and implementing support plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
