A single father and physician in Manhattan Beach is seeking a reliable, emotionally steady nanny to help care for his 2½-year-old daughter in a live-in weekend arrangement.
This position supports an established weekday childcare schedule and helps maintain consistent, calm care through the weekend and into Monday morning. The household already works with trusted caregivers, and this role ensures seamless continuity when the weekday nanny is off duty.
The child attends Montessori school full-time (8 AM–4 PM) during the week and maintains a consistent 7 PM–6 AM sleep routine. This role is best suited for a career nanny or household professional who values structure, stability, and a long-term relationship with one family.
Schedule
- Friday evening through Monday morning (live-in)
- Overnight presence is part of the role
- Typical active care days are Saturday and Sunday, with Monday morning support and/or school drop-off as needed
- Occasional additional coverage may be requested with advance notice
Compensation
- $220–$250 per day depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Friday evening arrival and smooth handoff from weekday caregiver/parent
- Full weekend care including:
- Meals and snacks
- Playtime and developmental activities
- Bath and bedtime routine
- Morning wake-up and transition support
- Monday morning preparation and school drop-off as needed
- Light cooking primarily for the child and occasional simple meal preparation for the household
- Child-related housekeeping including:
- Laundry
- Tidying play areas
- Kitchen reset after meals
- Routine daily dog care (feeding, walking, letting out)
- Clear communication and coordination with the weekday nanny / parent
- Maintaining a calm, organized home environment
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced caring for toddlers
- Calm, dependable, and emotionally steady
- Comfortable managing the home independently when needed
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving with a child
- CPR certified (or willing to obtain certification before starting)
- Comfortable with dogs
- Professional and respectful of household routines and boundaries
- Able to live in Friday evening through Monday morning consistently
