Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and safety standards
- Assist with menu planning to accommodate nutritional needs and preferences
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Support food service operations by plating, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Contribute to food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning using knife skills and slicing techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in production, storage, and serving of food items
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent catering or meal services for special events or daily needs
Qualifications
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety management practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with kitchen equipment, knife skills, slicing techniques, and food handling procedures
- Ability to adhere to safety standards in production environments while maintaining high-quality service
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience with catering or serving is a plus but not required
