Position Overview
Riley Salon Resources is seeking a Sales Manager to lead growth in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, expanding account relationships, and executing commercial plans that increase revenue, market penetration, and customer retention across the professional salon channel.
The ideal candidate combines beauty industry knowledge with strong people leadership, sales planning, and operational discipline. This person should be comfortable balancing strategic account development, in-market coaching, performance management, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-moving distribution environment.
Candidates must live within their assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute territory sales plans that support revenue growth, account expansion, and profitable market development.
- Deliver clear sales expectations, track performance against goals, and hold yourself accountable through regular reviews, ride-alongs, and one-on-one coaching.
- Strengthen relationships with salon owners, stylists, suite renters, and other professional beauty customers to grow loyalty and share of wallet.
- Identify new business opportunities, prospect strategic accounts, and help open underserved areas within the Tampa/St. Petersburg market.
- Analyze sales trends, product performance, customer activity, and market conditions to adjust plans and improve results.
- Partner with education, brand, operations, and leadership teams to support launches, promotions, events, and customer development initiatives.
- Represent Riley Salon Resources professionally in the field, at industry events, and during customer-facing education or business-building opportunities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in sales leadership, field management, or account management.
- Experience in professional beauty, salon distribution, haircare, cosmetics, or adjacent B2B consumer product channels strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to grow revenue, manage sales performance, and develop customer relationships in a territory-based environment.
- Strong analytical and operational skills, including KPI management and sales reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of organization, urgency, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in the fi eld.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Profile
The strongest candidates will bring a combination of salon-industry credibility and commercial execution. Experience leading market visits, improving sales processes, and translating brand strategy into local action will be especially valuable in this role.
