This is a Part-Time Day Shift position which works 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Schedules include every other weekend and every other holiday. Depending on our schedule needs, there may be 16 - 47 hours per pay period positions available. Please inquire upon interview and request preferences.
St. Joseph Residence is adding new positions to our team and is seeking caring, compassionate, and responsible team members to join our team as a certified nursing assistant at our 50-bed skilled nursing facility.
If you are not certified, we can help you enroll in a C.N.A. program and will pay you while you are completing the class. St. Joes will connect you with resources through the WI Caregiver program that will pay for the class, the testing fee, and you may even be eligible for a bonus after six months of employment.
Responsibilities:
As a C.N.A. you are responsible for providing direct care services to our residents including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, personal care, restorative therapies, and resident leisure activities. It is essential to have time management skills, a positive attitude, compassion, flexibility, and the ability to participate in a cooperative and productive team environment.
Other duties:
- Participate in personalizing resident care plans
- Monitor residents and report change of condition
- Work in collaboration with nurses, family members, and other healthcare providers
- Responsible for timely and accurate charting in the medical record
- Participate in team meetings, performance improvement projects, and ongoing education
- Current C.N.A. certification in the State of WI or be enrolled in a State approved program. (If you are not certified, we will assist you in enrolling in a program and you can work while taking the C.N.A. class.)
- Availability to work every other weekend and alternating holiday schedule
- Reliability: Must be punctual, have reliable attendance, and a good work ethic
