American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and 1+ years of MS/Tele experience.
-
Work on a Medical Surgical Combination unit at a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center
-
Care for an all-ages patient population
-
Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
-
13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
-
Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
-
Call requirements as needed
-
Floating to similar med/surg units as needed
-
Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing

Charts in Meditech EHR
-
Active RN license (TN state or compact) required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS through AHA
-
Minimum 1+ years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
-
IV insertion skills required
-
Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start

Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Deliver quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients of all ages

Report to the Nursing Director overseeing the unit
-
Weekly orientation held on Mondays

Professional dress code with any scrub color accepted; casual wear not permitted

Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate

Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
