Job Overview:
The Equipment Engineer will be based on Knowles Valencia Plant, working closely with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and R&D. This role is responsible for the introduction of new manufacturing equipment, debug, maintaining and upgrading existing automation line, and ensuring optimal equipment performance to support a 24/7 production environment. #KPD
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Resp to introduce the next generation of assembly automation equipment to support high-volume MLCC production lines, ensuring tight process control, high throughput, improved yield, and cost-effective operations.
- Responsible for maintaining, debugging and programing, automated MLCC Mylar caster, printer, blanker, stacker, cutter, ISO press, including key process parameters set up, SPC control, and documentation.
- Establish and maintain a robust maintenance system for key equipment and provide training to other team members for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues to support 24/7 production operations.
- Support the Process Engineering team in conducting Design of Experiments (DoE), process optimization, and troubleshooting through large-scale process data mapping and analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation for equipment, maintenance procedures, and engineering changes in accordance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Train technicians and junior engineers on automated equipment operations, and safety protocols. Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of equipment engineer experience includes the field service, in the MLCC, or semiconductor manufacturing industries.
- Experience with equipment maintenance, repair, and upgrades, as well as knowledge of cleanroom and facility requirements, is highly desirable.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
