A well-established practice is seeking a full-time Licensed Optician/Sales Lead to oversee operations in our local optical shops with future expansion. The ideal candidate will bring proven sales success, strong leadership, and a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train and manage optical sales team
- Oversee scheduling and staffing of optical shop personnel
- Coordinate with frame and lens vendors, manage product selection
- Maintain and monitor inventory
- Perform in-house edging and maintain edging equipment
- Track and analyze sales metrics, prescription capture rates, and inventory levels
- Develop internal and external marketing strategies to drive optical sales
- Regularly report metrics and outcomes to practice leadership
- Conduct repairs and adjustments to eyewear as needed
- Ensure the optical shops remain clean, organized, and aligned with practice standards
- Handle and process optical-related invoices
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years as a Licensed Optician
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail optical sales or sales leadership
- Skilled in in-house edging
- Strong familiarity with billing for Medicare, MassHealth, EyeMed, VSP, Davis Vision, and other vision plans
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Comfortable working with both senior patients and children
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
