Dermatology practice seeking a driven and organized individual to join our team as a temporary-to-hire Certified Medical Assistant fluent in Spanish. Job Requirements and Qualifications: (may include but not limited to)
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments with precision and care
- Prepare patients for visits by taking and updating a detailed medical history updating and clearly explaining procedures
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring proper handling and documentation for accurate test results
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, adhering strictly to safety protocols
- Manage patient records electronically maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in documentation
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals to specialists seamlessly, preform prior authoraztions
- Maintain a clean organized clinical environment that complies with infection control standards
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; active certification is essential for eligibility (If you do not have a current and valid certification please do not apply)
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory; on the job training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and clinical procedures is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems or practice management software is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
