Volunteer Drivers provide essential transportation services for residents of Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Iosco Counties , ensuring they can access hospitals and other care facilities throughout Michigan. Drivers are contacted and scheduled by staff as needs arise, and may accept or decline trips based on their availability. Volunteers are encouraged to share their preferred days and times of availability. Transportation may occur locally or anywhere within the state. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the current federal rate. A valid Michigan driver’s license is required.

Volunteer Drivers must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the service area and, on occasion, across the state. Volunteers must maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license, vehicle insurance required by state law, and a clean driving record. Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
