D-Trans Transportation Service is seeking a dependable, caring, and safety-conscious Part-Time Van Driver for the 2026–2027 school year. If you enjoy working with children and are looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in your community, we encourage you to apply.
Pay
- $15.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Paid bi-weekly
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Approximately 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon
- Occasional overtime may be required
Responsibilities
- Safely transport school-age children (Kindergarten through 12th grade) to and from school.
- Provide a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all students.
- Maintain communication with management using phone, email, and text messaging.
- Keep assigned vehicle clean, organized, and presentable.
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle and promptly report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
- Immediately report any incidents, accidents, concerns, or occurrences involving students, parents, or the vehicle to management.
- Follow all company policies and state transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and zero points.
- Ability to pass:
- Drug screening
- Criminal background check
- Delaware Child Protection Registry background check
- TB test
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Must be patient, compassionate, and able to work well with children of all ages.
- Must be flexible and able to communicate effectively.
- Comfortable using a phone, email, text messaging, and basic computer functions.
