Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Materials Planning Analyst to support a leading manufacturing client in Clearwater, FL. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in manufacturing materials planning, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain analysis.
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating across procurement, operations, engineering, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze inventory positions, material shortages, and supply risks to maintain operational continuity
· Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions, inventory discrepancies, or demand fluctuations
· Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past-due materials to support production schedules
· Coordinate daily with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other internal stakeholders to resolve material constraints
· Escalate critical shortages with clear communication, risk assessment, and recommended corrective actions
· Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, trackers, and analytical tools to improve material visibility and operational decision-making
· Support intercompany purchasing, material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and stores functions
· Execute critical planning activities to support customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in materials planning or manufacturing planning
· Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
· Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SQL and Power BI
· Ability to analyze material availability, shortages, and supply risks
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Preferred Qualifications
· Associate degree or related technical education
· Established experience in materials management and inventory planning
· Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
· Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
