Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to join our dynamic team! As the welcoming face of our establishment, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure every guest feels valued and comfortable. This role is vital in setting the tone for a memorable dining or hospitality experience, engaging with guests efficiently and professionally while managing reservations, waitlists, and guest relations seamlessly.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and assist them promptly upon arrival
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Communicate effectively with guests to provide accurate wait times and seating information
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and presentable
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to optimize seating flow and guest experience
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host or in a customer service role within food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest services
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a focus on guest relations and service excellence
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
- Open availability required
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday
