Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Exercise Specialist to elevate our fitness and wellness programs. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics, physiology, and personal training principles, combined with a passion for motivating clients to achieve their health goals. As the Lead Exercise Specialist, you will oversee the development and implementation of personalized workout plans, lead group fitness sessions, and ensure exceptional client service. Responsibilities
- Design customized workout programs tailored to individual client needs, goals, and fitness levels, incorporating principles of biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology.
- Lead engaging group fitness classes, motivating participants through energetic coaching and clear instruction.
- Provide expert guidance on proper body mechanics, manual handling techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
- Conduct fitness assessments and track client progress to refine workout plans effectively.
- Maintain high standards of safety by ensuring all activities adhere to first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation protocols, and liability insurance requirements.
- Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, personalized coaching, and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative program designs that enhance member engagement and retention within the health club environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, personal training, or fitness industry roles with a focus on program design and client motivation.
- Knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and nutrition to inform safe and effective exercise prescriptions.
- Certification in personal training or coaching from a recognized organization; CPR/AED certification is mandatory.
- Experience teaching physical education or leading group fitness classes is highly desirable.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to promote fitness services confidently while maintaining ethical standards.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate proper manual handling techniques.
- Prior experience working in health clubs or gym environments is preferred; liability insurance coverage is required for employment.

Pay: $58,240.00 - $62,400.00 per year
