Overview
We are seeking an experienced concrete laborer to join our restoration team. In this role you will be responsible for installing and finishing concrete and asphalt according to project specifications. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
- Prepare and set up forms and frameworks for concrete pouring, ensuring accurate interpretation of construction plans.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete using hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers to achieve smooth surfaces and precise specifications.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints meticulously to interpret specifications for formwork construction and masonry work.
- Follow strict safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting, working at heights, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with carpentry tasks including trim carpentry and framing as needed during renovation or restoration projects.
- Support site cleanup, material handling, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and project timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction projects involving concrete pouring, finishing, formwork construction, and rebar installation.
- Familiarity with technical drawing interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of using hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery like concrete mixers and pumps.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
