A Driver Associate delivers packages and smiles to customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to deliver packages to homes, retail locations, and other delivery locations. In this position, you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed customer expectations and make sure customer orders, large or small, are delivered on time to the right place.
We are currently prioritizing candidates with OPEN AVAILABILITY, especially on the weekends.
As we grow, supervisory roles will be available
General Responsibilities:
- Successfully handle and deliver packages on time
- Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle(s)
- Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
- Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
- Keep pace in a physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages (up to 50 lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
- Ensure delivery vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
- Communicate effectively with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
Shifts available 7 days per week:
- Full Time - Driver Associates typically work four-day work weeks and up to 10 hr shifts per week with 1 unpaid 30-minute meal break and two paid 15 min breaks.
Work Environment:
- Drives a delivery van up to 10,000 pounds to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of the van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions
- Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from road congestion, construction, or other factors
- Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments, including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year and peak seasons and other factors
Job Requirements (performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to operate and navigate up to a 10,000-pound van
- Ability to effectively operate a Mobile Device and GPS
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 50 pounds each
- Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver’s license
- 21 years of age or older
- Must have a clean motor vehicle report
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
- Use smart phone devices for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
- Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
- Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
