Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time or Part-time Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care through various massage techniques, contributing to pain relief, relaxation, and overall well-being. Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific patient needs.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual conditions and goals.
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
- Educate patients on self-care practices related to occupational health and pain management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided and patient progress notes.
- Uphold high standards of patient service by creating a welcoming and relaxing environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a clean, safe treatment area.
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience with patient assessment, swedish and deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, , and pain management techniques.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage.
- Prior experience working in a spa is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve patient well-being through therapeutic touch.
