Job Summary
We're offering a hands-on photography and drone internship for an emerging visual creative who wants real-world experience building a professional content library. You'll work directly alongside our team shooting short-term rental properties, aerial footage, and destination lifestyle content — the kind of work that goes live on Airbnb, VRBO, and our marketing channels.
This is not a coffee-and-copy internship. You'll be behind the camera from day one, building your portfolio while contributing to meaningful, published work.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with and independently lead property photography shoots — interiors, exteriors, and detail shots
- Fly drone for aerial property and landscape photography and video
- Capture local area content: trails, town, landmarks, seasonal scenery, and lifestyle moments
- Cull and perform edits on delivered photos under guidance from our team
- Help organize and maintain our growing content library
- Scout locations and assist with shoot planning and scheduling
- Learn professional short-term rental photography standards and platform best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a photography, film, communications, or related program
- Photography skills with a growing portfolio — quality matters more than quantity
- Interest in drone photography and video (FAA Part 107 certification a strong plus; we can help guide you toward certification)
- Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow quickly
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated — shoots may happen early morning for best light
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of conditions
Equipment
Candidates who own a camera body, lenses, or drone are strongly preferred and will be given priority consideration. Equipment can be provided or loaned for candidates who are a strong fit but don't yet have their own gear. Please note your situation in your application.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: Paid — hourly rate based on experience
Duration: Minimum 3 months; extension or full-time conversion possible for the right person
Schedule: Full-time or part-time availability considered; flexible around coursework
Location: Based in Sevier County or surrounding areas — local and regional shoots required
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
