Rivers Edge Restoration is a West Michigan contractor specializing in storm restoration, construction, and tree care. We have been serving homeowners and property owners since 2012. We operate several related companies under common ownership, and we are looking for a detail-driven bookkeeper to keep our financial records accurate, current, and audit-ready.
What You Will Do
- Own day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online across multiple related entities
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly
- Manage and troubleshoot data syncing between our field software (AccuLynx and ArboStar) and QuickBooks Online
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable: enter bills, run payables, invoice customers, and follow up on collections
- Process payroll and support workers compensation and general liability insurance audits
- Track job costing so actual costs can be measured against estimates by job and by crew
- Prepare monthly financial statements and coordinate with our outside CPA at year end
- Maintain organized records and flag discrepancies early, before they become problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Two or more years of bookkeeping or staff accounting experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple entities straight
- Clear, professional communication with owners, managers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction, contracting, restoration, or trades industry experience
- Familiarity with job costing, work in progress, and lien waiver paperwork
- Experience with multi-entity or related-party bookkeeping
- Experience supporting insurance and workers compensation audits
Compensation and Schedule
- Pay: up to $67,000 per year, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift
- Location: on-site in Comstock Park, MI
