Cardea Health Integrative (CHI) seeks an empathetic and evidence-based Registered Nurse(RN) / Infusion Nurse to join our team, emphasizing whole-person care, innovation in functional and integrative medicine, and personalized healing.
The RN at CHI will focus on clinical responsibilities centered on initiating IV access and administering IV medications per our doctor’s orders. Key duties include monitoring and documenting patient status in the EMR, inventory management for IV supplies, and active involvement in patient triage and ancillary support.
Essential functions cover Clinical Infusion (IV access, medication/botanical administration, history gathering, detailed documentation, emergency preparedness, and follow-up), Clinical Support (inventory, scheduling, patient education on injectables like peptides, specimen collection), and Patient Communication. The role also heavily involves Continuous Quality Improvement, requiring staff training, process improvement identification and adherence to safety/infection control. The RN must maintain a clean, calm healing environment, prioritizing patient comfort and efficient scheduling while upholding high standards of care and confidentiality.
Required competencies include proficiency in IV therapy, strong communication, prioritization skills, and EMR familiarity. The work environment is a relaxed, clinical setting, occasionally involving exposure to moderate risks.
This position mandates working one specified evening and every other weekend hours, with no exceptions. Candidates need a minimum of a 2-year nursing degree (BSN preferred) and 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience involving IV infusions and EMR documentation.
Current CPR and an active NYS RN license are mandatory. The role is physical, requiring standing, walking, and occasional light lifting. Strong preference for infusion nurse with functional medicine background.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
