This position will be primarily based out of or near our Mesa I facility located at 4712 S Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites.
Position Description
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician is responsible for supporting engineering in optimizing production equipment and processes, training operators, and supporting maintenance in repair and upkeep to achieve high manufacturing efficiency. This is a hands-on position that involves significant time on the manufacturing floor working collaboratively with operators, department leads, production management, and engineering. The position requires becoming a Technical Subject Matter Expert (TSME) on equipment and process within production. This involves answering questions and guiding production on proper setup and use of equipment. It also includes working with maintenance teams to properly repair and maintain equipment. TSMEs will also provide feedback to engineers to support decisions regarding new equipment and tooling. This is a high visibility position that is central to supporting a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will play a crucial role in onboarding new equipment, implementing new processes, and supporting existing complex equipment operation.

Essential Responsibilities
- Support the operation of technical equipment by training operators, adjusting machine parameters, and diagnosing mechanical and software issues
- Onboard new equipment by working with OEM field technicians and SRC engineers during factory acceptance and commissioning, assisting in initial setup and optimization for first run product
- Be a Technical Subject Matter Expert for assigned manufacturing processes and equipment
- Having total ownership of equipment or process performance as its TSME
- Work with engineers to optimize production lines and machine operations
- Train production team members in new and existing processes
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, suppliers, and production team members
- Support the rollout of new products or special projects into first run production
- Present and lead through company values
Qualifications
THIS IS AN INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT WHICH REQUIRES PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES.
Required

- High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
- 3+ years of professional work experience in manufacturing or related field

- Ability to read and interpret electrical assembly diagrams and mechanical drawings

o A pattern of Late Ins, Early Outs, Unexcused Call Outs, etc. is not acceptable.
- Must be able to pass DOT Screening with physical and background check.

Desired
- Knowledgeable about metal fabrication and made-to-order custom manufacturing
- PLC and related automation experience (creation and diagnostic)
- Associate’s degree in related area of study
- Industry experience with heat exchangers or systems that require coils
- History of success in small or mid-sized company
- Proven project management skills
- Experience with commissioning new manufacturing equipment
- CAD experience
- Strong positive work ethic
o Have a good history of safe work practices, focus on quality, and steady efficiency.
o Personal errors in your specific department can happen, what is important is if you are able to learn from an error and move forward in a positive manner.
o English and Spanish are the Arizona team’s top two primary languages. Fluency, consisting of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in both is recommended. Ancillary would be full comprehension in English with base understanding in Spanish while continuing to learn and develop the communication skill set overtime.
