Overview
Rhine Trucking is a growing local, belly and side dump, aggregate hauler. We work all over the Salt Lake Valley, and beyond. We're looking for safe, dependable drivers to join our team. We are willing to train you to operate double belly and side dumps, however you must have a doubles endorsement and at least 6 months experience with tractor trailer combination of 26,000 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an LCV (Long Combination Vehicle, double belly or side dumps)
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before hitting the road.
- Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Be punctual, and flexible with varying load times.
- Accurately fill out your daily time card, driver vehicle inspection reports, and use our dispatching app.
- Communicate effectively with, management staff, heavy equipment operators, ground crew, and fellow drivers to help keep the job running safe and smooth.
- Uphold safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company policies for safe driving practices.
Skills
- At least 6 months experience driving tractor trailer combination of 26,000 pounds or more with a valid CDL Class A license.
- Ability to operate a truck with a manual transmission.
- Ability to drive route efficiently while managing time effectively.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and defensive driving skills.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and fellow drivers.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial trucking operations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
