Some firms confuse being busy with being well run.
The diary is full.
Deadlines keep moving.
People stay late because they have to.
And somewhere along the way, that becomes "the culture."
It doesn't have to be.
This established Fort Myers CPA firm believes good audit work comes from planning, communication and experienced people—not unnecessary hours.
That's why the expectation isn't to stay in the office to prove your commitment.
It's to deliver high-quality work and still have a life outside of it.
About the firm
With just under 50 professionals and six Partners, this is a well-established CPA firm with a strong reputation across Southwest Florida.
Several of the Partners trained with Big 8 firms, so technical standards are high, expectations are clear and professional development is taken seriously.
The difference is the culture.
People are trusted.
Supported.
And given the opportunity to grow without feeling like every week is a race to the next deadline.
Why Audit Seniors join this firm
- $75,000 - $90,000 salary
- Diverse audit portfolio with genuine responsibility
- Clear pathway toward Audit Manager
- Direct exposure to experienced Partners
- Strong technical standards in a supportive environment
- Sensible approach to workload and overtime
- Long-established, respected CPA firm
The role
You'll join a 15-person audit team completing approximately 130 to 150 audits each year.
The variety of work means you'll continue developing technically while gaining the confidence to lead engagements and build stronger client relationships.
The client portfolio includes:
- Government entities
- Non-profit organisations with revenues ranging from under $1 million to approximately $80 million
- Construction companies
- Employee benefit and retirement plans
You'll take ownership of audit engagements, work directly with clients, supervise junior team members and continue building the experience needed to progress towards Audit Manager.
This isn't a role where you'll be confined to one part of the audit process.
You'll see engagements through from planning to completion and play an important part in their success.
Who this role suits
You already have public accounting audit experience within a CPA firm.
You're looking for the next step in your career.
You value technical quality.
You enjoy working with clients.
And you're looking for a firm where progression doesn't come at the expense of your personal life.
CPA progress is welcomed, but it's not essential at this stage.
The reality
The best Audit Seniors don't just look for bigger clients or a bigger salary.
They look for better leadership.
Better planning.
Better opportunities.
And a firm where they can keep developing without burning themselves out.
If that sounds like the kind of environment you've been looking for, I'd be happy to tell you more.
Applying for a job isn't a marriage proposal.
It's simply a conversation.
If it feels like the right opportunity, fantastic.
If it doesn't, you'll still leave knowing a little more about what you're looking for in the next stage of your career.
