American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certification and at least 1 year of ER experience with a valid LA or compact RN license.

Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
-
13-week assignment on day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)

Rotating weekend requirement

No on-call or float requirements
-
Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Epic charting system required
-
Royal blue scrubs required
-
Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
-
TNCC certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
-
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
-
Knowledge of neurological emergencies including CVA and neuro-trauma
-
Experience administering emergency medications including IV vasopressors
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE and triage
-
Travel experience required

Prior permanent LCMC Health employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year to be eligible
-
Provide emergency care across a range of adult and pediatric cases including trauma, cardiac, and neurological emergencies
-
Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
-
Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
-
Work within a stroke and STEMI certified facility
-
Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
